Officine Sbarra has been operating in the
flange production industry since 1964. Initially a sole trader
under the name of Andrea Sbarra, in 1980 the company evolved
into a partnership between Andrea and Roberto Sbarra.
The company was founded not in an industrial zone, but rather
in an area known as the high Val di Magra, or the high Lunigiana.
This territory is located halfway between Emilia Romagna and
Liguria and is well known for its medieval villages, castles
and discrete tourism.
The establishment of a company in a not
so well known area, away from large industrialised production
centres, may have been considered a significant risk factor.
However, credit must be given to those people
working within this small, yet by all accounts complete company.
It is their determination and skill which have successfully
ensured that today, the facility is able to proudly boast recognition
in both the national and European arena. |
